You do not need a stall, a shop or a farm. A flat in town, a townhouse, a lifestyle block, it all works the same. Your gate is simply the spot a buyer picks up from: a porch, a front step, a mailbox, a box at the end of the drive, or somewhere neutral like the local park if you would rather not use home at all.

Your spot stays blurred on the map until an order is agreed. Only then does your buyer get the exact address and directions, and nobody else ever does. Rather not show it at all? Leave it off and arrange a pickup by message instead.

Drop offs

A time and a place away from home. You turn up, buyers come to you, then you pack up. It shows on the map as a car, with the spot shown exactly so people can find you.

Temporary stalls

Selling from somewhere else for a while, your mum's place or the bach? Set your gate up there for those days. The pin stays blurred like a home gate, and only a confirmed buyer gets the address.

Markets

Put a local market on the map, or join one with your stall for the day, so buyers know where to find you.

What it costs

Most people pay nothing at all

Always free for buyers and browsers. You only ever pay if you want to sell more than the Free plan covers.

GateShare never takes a commission on your sales. Not a cent, ever. Cash at the gate goes straight from one person to the other, and card payments land in the seller's own account. The plans below are the only way money comes in, and they are there to cover the cost of running it.

A listing is a product, not an item. The quantity on any listing is unlimited, so one listing of eggs covers however many dozen you have, and you can swap it to a different product whenever you like.

Schools, clubs and community groups sell free

A school, kura, preschool, club or community group raising funds gets the Fundraiser plan: as many listings as you like, five photos on each, card payments or cash at the gate. No charge and no end date.

Bake sales, firewood, pinecones, plants from the school garden. Your stall carries a fundraiser badge, so buyers can see exactly where their money is going.

Your address stays private

Everyone sees your rough area only. The exact pickup spot and your directions are shared once an order is agreed, and with nobody else. You can leave the address out altogether and arrange a spot by message instead.

Kia ora, I'm Em

I'm the one behind GateShare. Not a big company, just me, who built this from my kitchen table because I reckoned Aotearoa needed it.

It started with my own gate. I would put out what we grew and raised, and I kept thinking about everyone who drove past never knowing it was there, and all the other gates around the country with the same story.

So I built GateShare: one map of Kiwis selling what they grow, harvest, make, bake, raise or craft, straight from home. I built it this year around a farm, a part time job and two kids, and it is open to the whole country now.
